Platform 18 at Century Grand: A Unique Cocktail Bar Experience in Phoenix, AZ

Platform 18 is such a cool, unique spot. It’s a small space so reservations are a must — but that’s what makes it feel intimate and special. The bar staff really lean into the immersive experience and make it more than just drinks. It actually feels like you’re transported somewhere else for the night. Definitely worth booking ahead if you want something different in Arizona.

Atmosphere: 9/10 Located inside Century Grand in Phoenix, which houses three different bars. Fully designed as a 1920s train car, complete with authentic train sounds and simulated journey videos playing through the windows. The immersion is strong and convincingly executed. Backbar fits the train theme nicely. Seating includes a few bar seats and train-style booths. Music volume and background audio work well together. Drinks: 7.5/10 Recommendation: The West Side Cowboy High-quality menu with a good selection. Flavor profiles and balance lean a bit simple overall. No coasters. Glassware is average. Garnish and presentation are thoughtfully paired with each drink and visually consistent with the concept. Service: 8/10 Water served on arrival. Very friendly, professional, and attentive team. Reservations are required. Prices are slightly above average for Phoenix. Overall, drinks don’t feel like the main focus here—the immersive atmosphere and experience clearly take priority.

My husband and I had the best time at Platform 18. From the minute you stepped on to the train, escorted to your table til the end of the train ride we were well taken care of! The experience is definitely one of a kind and the cocktails were so well crafted and not to mention so delicious!! Book this experience I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

Just amazing, and it feels like you are in a movie. Overall the entire concept is dope! The staff is friendly, and the drinks and snacks are great. I would highly recommend on a special occasion or just any day you want something different.

Our waitress Lilly was amazing. Helping us find the drinks we were looking for and helping us decide on snacks. The whole train car experience was awesom.

What we ordered: Drinks: Sparkling wine The magician The musician The Oracle (cold one) Banana pudding 21 hours to Louisville Food: Sundays in June (ice cream) George Washington carver (ice cream) First timer here what a great vibe decor is very nice with a elegant feel and I was shocked how spacious it actually was especially the back area for large groups like us, service a tad slow but super friendly staff and helpful, creative drinks and handmade ice cream is done here the ice cream is super yummy you really can tell it is hand made super soft and flavorful and wasn’t aware it was spiked till my friend mentioned it dope, gotta mention how soft the seats here are as well the couches are niceee def will come again

This place was so cool! It was like being on a 1920’s train in NYC during prohibition and the drinks were some of the best I have ever had! The staff also amazing and played up the theme! For sure going to make this a regular date night spot with the wife!

If you want the best experience I suggest you come with a reservation to be able to sit at the specific bar you want! Can’t say I’ve ever had a miso drink out of a miso bowl! Definitely was a fun experience!
